In the 45 F3 progenies of 10-parent half diallel cross of pea (Pisum sativum L.) the genetic variability was highest for seeds per plant followed by plant height, pod number and grain yield. All the characters were highly heritable except yield/plant. All the characters, viz. seed number, pod number, height, branches, flowering and maturity were positively and significantly correlated with yield, except 100-seed weight and most of the characters studied. The different yield component traits also showed favourable association with each other except 100-seed weight and days to maturity
