Contribution to the knowledge of rusts of Iran

During the study of fungus specimens, which were collected in recent years in Iran, some rust species among them had novelties for mycoflora of Iran. The studied species were: Puccinia aeluripodis, P. balsamitae, P. bupleuri-falcati, P. fashamensis Ershad et Gjaerum sp. nov., P. hordei, P. leontodontis, P. passerinii, P. smyrnii, P. wendelboi, Uromyces Kabatianus, U. laburni and U. lilii. It was also found that some of the host plants were matrix nova, namely Arabis caucasica subsp. caucasica for P. wedelboi, Fritillaria gibbosa for U. lilii, Hordeum glaucum for P. hordei, Leontodon Kotschyi for P. leontodontis, and Thesium szowitsii for P. passerinii
