The adrenergic innervation of the vascular body in the domestic fowl was demonstrated by fluorescence microscopy using a catecholamine method. Adrenergic nerve fibres were seen in the medioadventitial junction of the muscular arteries whereas the glomerular capillaries and veins were free of adrenergic fibres. The probable role of the calibre of blood vessels in the control of glomerular filtration in the vascular body is discussed
