Through continuous section observation, it has been found that microconidium and mycelium are the existence forms of cotton Fusarium wilt in infected cotton plants and the laws of their distributions in cotton plants of different disease grade. While developing along the vessel walls, the mycelium can produce some supermicroscopic haustorium with strange morphological characteristics. The corresponding regressional analysis with the collected data has shown that the rising height of mycelium and total number of pathogens, and the rate of infected vessel are three key factors influencing the disease development and that there exists interrelation among them.
