Effect of fertilizer levels on yield, quality and blossom-end rot of tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)
1977
Awuma, K.
Four levels of the compound fertilizer (15-15-15) applied at 0, 260, 520 and 780 kg/ha were tested on two local tomato varieties, Owusu-Bioh and Wosowoso. The highest yields were obtained at 260 kg/ha with higher levels decreasing yield. Soluble solids content was highest at both the 260 kg/ha and 520 kg/ha levels. PH responses were variable but titrable acidity was highest and the 520 kg/ha level. Blossom end rot increased consistently with increases with fertilizer levels over the range tested
