Rai, B.K. | Singh, W.
7 insecticides commonly used in rice plant protection work were tested against adult neoconocephalus s p. The order of toxicity of insecticides was found to be diazinon malathion = dieldrin = lindane carbaryl = monocrotophos dicrotophos trichlorophon. In 2 field trials dieldrin and monocrotophos as emulsions at 275 gm and 370 gm a.i./ha respectively gave good control of long-horned grasshoppers by drift spraying. The other effective insecticides that could be used are diazinon, malathion and gamma BHC emulsion sprays at 275 gm a.i./ha
