Effect of GA3MH and CCC on avena coleoptile elongation

Cycocel, maleic hydrazide and gibberellic acid were applied singly in various concentrations to study their individual as well as combined effects on the elongation of coleoptile of oat (Avena sativa L.). Maleic hydrazide and cycocel both affected the early seedling growth adversely, while all the concentrations of gibberellic acid (GA) were observed promotary with 100 ppm as supra optimal. High concentrations (100 ppm) of GA alleviated the antagonistic effect of either inhibitors. MH and CCC induced inhibited exhibited their synergistic and antagonistic nature
