Results showed that infection with leaf mold and early blight started when temperature was 7.4-23 deg C and relative humidity was 72-95% in the first season and 2-22 deg C, 65-100% in the second season. The CV. Clodia was found susceptible to infection with both diseases, while Dombito and Monte carlo were susceptible to early blight only. Monte carlo CV. less susceptible to infection gave both higher yield and healthy fruit percentage than the other two. Dombito CV. gave the least percentage of healthy fruit. CV. Super market was found resistant to leaf mold infection, the isogenic line ah-KE was resistant to early blight. However, both of them exhibited severe susceptiblity to the other disease. Peto early showed weak susceptibility to infection by either pathogen
