Five consumer package treatments:- Non-perforated, perforated polyethlene, kraft paper, colored polyethlene, and mesh bags on onion (Allium cepa L.) Behairi CV. were investigated. The treatments were prepared in two sets: the first was held at cold storage 4 plus minus 2 deg C and 60-80 %R.H. for 30 days then transferred to an ambient temperature 20-30 deg C and 30-70 % R.H. for 30 more days. The second set was held at an ambient temperature for 60 days both of mesh and kraft bags which significantly reduced sprouted, rooted and decayed bulbs during cold storage and marketing, while weight loss was increased. Non-perforated bags was significantly increased the sprouted, rooted and decayed bulbs, but statistically decreased the weight loss. Deterioration encountered when onions kept in perforated and non-perforated bags, were transferred from cold storage to the amient temperature
