Damadzadeh, M.
Rice sterility is a problem that has recently developed in Esfahan area and causes severe damage to the yield. With regards to the physiological factors affecting rice sterility, the temperature of irrigation water, temperature and relative humidity of the air and soil fertility were measured in three successive years. The average water temperature from transplanting time till harvesting was 23 deg C. The average air temperature at the same time was 22 deg C. The minimum air temperature at the sensitive stage of rice to coolness was 11 that is less than the critical degree of 15-20 deg C
