The inclusion of amino acid supplements in high copra meal diet significantly improved apparent digestion coefficient of dry matter (ADDM) and crude protein (ADCP) digestible and metabolizable energy, apparent biological value (BV), net protein utilization (NPU) of the rations, and blood urea-N (BUN) of the experimental animals. The use of 4 amino acid supplements (lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan) to improve ADDM, ADCP, BV, NPU and BUN was significantly better than using only 2 or 3 amino acids. However, corn-soy diet had significantly better nutrient digestibility than copra meal diets. No significant differences in nutrient digestibility were observed between high nutrient density copra meal diet and copra meal diet with 4 amino acid supplements.
