Influence of infestation by spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch.) on growth and yield of bean seeds

It has been found that plants injured by spider-mites before flowering set less pods and that those pods dry up earlier. In consequence the seed number is markedly lower and the seeds are smaller in comparison with those of plants injured after pod-setting as well as in comparison with the control plants
