Relationship between bunch yield and bunch weight variation in the oil palm

In data analysed from three oil palm experiments for periods between 5 and 9 years, there was a highly significant relationship between bunch yield and bunch weight variations. C.V. % values of bunch weight may be used to forecast bunch yield so that early progeny selection can be carried out
