Piling up of dry plant matter during the stages of wheat development has been investigated regarding the mineral nitrogen dynamism in soil, depending on soil moisture. The strongest dependence of dry matter piling up on mineral nitrogen content in soil has been found to be in the earing stage. The dry plant matter piling up maximum coincides with the mineral nitrogen maximum in soil only in case of favourable soil moisture during the crop vegetation. Wheat nutrition with nitrogen is conditioned, first of all, by regular precipitation arrangement and temperature during vegetation and only then by the mineral nitrogen content in soil.
