1985
Maksimovic, D. (Institut za strna zita, Kragujevac (Yugoslavia))
Investigation into the grain yield, resistance to the races of Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei mildew, grain quality and malt quality of the new lines of two-row spring barley and of the standard varieties Kraguj and Union have been carried out. The highest-yielding lines were those of the CGS-44-74 x Kraguj combination, out of which L. 354, L. 357 and L. 331 are at the Variety certification office. Fifteen new lines resistant to the E. graminis f. sp. hordei mildew races have been revealed. The protein content in the new lines is 10-12%. Most new lines have the malt quality parameters equal to those of the standard Kraguj and Union varieties.
