The efficacy of some herbicides for controlling weeds in currant plantings
1986
Jankovic, R. (Institut za vocarstvo, Cacak (Yugoslavia))
Investigation of the efficiency of several herbicides in controlling weeds and their phytotoxicity on blackcurrants proved the following: in the conditions of fairly light soil and dominant presence of perennial weed species, the most efficient was Casoron G in the dose of 120 kg/ha which killed practically all the weeds present including Agropyrum repens as the most widely spread one. In the conditions of heavy vertisol and dominant presence of annual weeds in the blackcurrant planting the best control was obtained with Casoron GSR in the dose of 30 kg/ha and Simazine 10 kg/ha.
