Rahman, M.L. | Rahman, M.M.
A replicated experiment in randomized complete block design was conducted in the infected soil at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Hathazari, Chittagong during Rabi 1987-88 to study the field response of five tomato cultivars against Pseudomonas solanacearum causing bacterial wilt of tomato. Significant differences were observed among the tomato strains with respect to bacterial wilt ranging from as low as 0 to as high as 65.25%. Manik showed no infection whereas Ratan, Pinki and Roma VF gave 18.75, 41.67 and 56.25% wilted plants respectively. TMO-126 yielded maximum (65.62%) wilted plants and consequently rendered the poorest yield of tomato.
