Effect of Cultar (PP333) on vegetative growth, fruit quality and leaf content of 333 pigments, total nitrogen and calcium, was studied on "Italian" grapevines throughout two successive seasons. Cultar was used as soil application (3 and 6 ml/ vine) in autumn (Oct. 15th) and in spring (one week after cap fall) as well as a foliar spray (250, 500 and 750 ppm) in spring. Cultar reduced shoot and internode length as well as No. of leaves/ shoot and leaf area. On the other hand, PP333 increased cluster weight, No of berries/ cluster and total acidity, but decreased berry weight, T.S.S. and T.S.S./ acid ratio. Cultar also decreased leaf content of total nitrogen; whereas it increased leaf content of chlorophyll A and B, total carotene and calcium. Generally, spring soil and foliar applications of Cultar were most effective, especially with the high concentrations.
