Few repots are available on the effect of herbicides on chemical composition edible seeds and grains. In this concern, El-Bahraway (1981) pointed out that stomp herbicide at the recommended dose decreased total carbohydrates, protein, N and P contents of soybean seeds. It was reported that atrazine herbicide increased total N and protein contents of broad bean and pea seeds respectively (polugar 1969 and Singh et al., 1972). The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of stomp (dinitroaniline herbicide) and atrazine (Ti zine herbicide) on chemical composition of maize kernels and broad bean seeds.
