The distribution of metacercarial cysts of the parasite Clinostomum complanatum on the fresh water fish Chrysichthys nigrodigitatus in the Lower Volta lake (Ghana) is reported. Equal distribution of cysts on dorsal and ventral surfaces were observed with 42.2% of the cysts occurring on the head region and 59.8% on the rest of the body with an incidence of 20.9 cysts per fish. The cysts showed preference for subcutaneous, muscular tissue with highest concentrations in the grill region, eye sockets and interior dorsal fin area
