Occurrence of mercury and cadmium in marine fishes from the coast of Ghana

The concentrations of mercury and cadmium were determined in fish from the coast of Ghana. The levels of both heavy metals were low and within safe limits for human consumption. Individual variation of mercury levels within species was not related to the geographic location of fishes along the Ghanaian coast
