Gordon, C. (Ghana Univ., Legon (Ghana). Dept. of Zoology, V.B.R.P.)
Samples collected from (a) semi-intensive farm ponds, (b) secondary oxidation ponds, (c) intensive household pond and (d) duck-fish integrated pond were compared in regard to numbers, species composition and size of plankton. Higher numbers were found in intensive household pond, but the larger size gave higher biomass in the duck-fish integrated pond, with greater diversity of fauna. Duck manure and constant input of nutrient is especially efficient in increasing the abundance of zooplankton organism
