The performance of the national extension programme. Part C: Results of a survey conducted with research staff in eleven research stations [Kenya]
1987
Research stations in Kenya are allocated funds for effective participation in the National Extension Project. This means an additional effort in time, funds and equipment and researchers are therefore requested to participate in monthly workshops to assist in the formulation of impact points to be disseminated to farmers. This paper summarises the results of a survey investigating the participation, contribution and the problems facing the researchers in the extension programme and while disseminating their findings. Focuses on administrative problems related to the joint research-extension activities and gives proposals for improved communication between them
