The present studies were carried out in order to develop vegetative propagation techniques of horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) by means of in vitro culture. Explants of leaf, petiole, root and pedicel were cultured on Ms medium in which NAA and BA were added to determine optimum concentration for organogenesis. The highest organ differentiation rate was attained in leaf explants, and the next was petiole, root explants in that order, while the lowest was pedicel explants. NAA 0.1, 0.5, 1.0mg/l single treatment was effective in the differentiation of petiole, and root explants and 0.5mg/l NAA plus 0.1mg/l BA treatment. Relatively high level (2.0mg/l) of BA, which may counteract with NAA, markedly inhibited organogenesis of leaves, petioles and roots of explants. Shoot formation was vigorous in both the upper and the lower parts of pedicel, but root formation was induced only in NAA 2.0mg/l treatment. Growth of shoots in the upper part of pedicel were good, and fresh weight was high as compared to the lower part of the pedicel
