These studies were carried out to regulate the growth and flowering of Korean-indigenous bedding plants which have been used for gardening by pinching from 1987 to 1988. Height and number of flowers per plant. The more pinching times was delayed, the shorter in the height of all species such as Gentiana axillariflora var. coreana, Inula britannica var. chinensis, Aster yomena, Aster koraiensis, Platycodon glandiflorum and Chrysanthemum indicum. The number of flower per plant was increased by pinching on 20 May in Inula britannica var. chinesis, Aster yomena, Platycodon glandiflorum, Aster koraiensis and Chrysanthemum indicum but that of Achillea sibirica was increased markedly by pinching on 10 June and 20 May. Flowering time. The flowering time delayed by pinching in Gentiana axillariflora var. coreana, Aster yomena and Aster koraiensis, and the flowering period was shorter. The beginning and the ending time of flowering were delayed by pinching in Inula britannica var. chinensis and Platycodon glandiflorum, and the flowering period was almost same
