Use of optimal programming for assessment of different crop rotation systems in private farms

An extensive review of literature concerning crop rotation and sequence is presented. In the proposed method the evaluation criterion will be the agricultural income obtained by the optimum organized farm. The assessment included four crop rotation systems with a varied share of grains: 50 percent, two crop rotations with a 75 percent share and a multi variety cereals monoculture. The models are in the form of linear programming. Analyses show that the increased share of grains at the cost of fodder crops present in crop rotation will improve the income situation of farms, which will deteriorate if they are replaced by potatoes
