Phytochemical studies found that water-methanol extracts from Fol. Bergeniae and Fol. Uvae ursi contain similiar amount of arbutin and tannins. Content of these compounds in Fol. Vitis ideae extract was considerably lower. It was found also small amount of bergenin in Fol. Bergeniae extract. Fol. Bergeniae could be valuable arbutin and tannin raw material. However, the introduction of above raw material to therapeutics depend on results of toxicological and pharmaceutical studies
