The comparative studies on virulence of Duck plague virus or Duck viral enteritis strains (DVE) isolated from ducks and geese were found that DVE virus strains isolated from geese had more virulence than from ducks. Ducks which were vaccinated with Attenuated Duck plaque virus vaccine gave complete protection against both virus strains. In the experiment geese must receive vaccine with virus content at least 10 4.5 TCID 50 / dose to give 100% protection against virulence strain from geese.
