[Economic properties of some introduced olive varieties used in oil production in conditions of coastal Montenegro [Yugoslavia]]

Five Italian olive varieties, Mauriano, Pendolino, Canino, Favarol and Grignan, grown in the conditions of coastal area of Montenegro (Yugoslavia) were investigated. The largest fruit and stone has the Grignan variety and the smallest - the Canino variety. The content of dry matter in fruit ranges from 38.28% in Maurino to 51.49% in Canino variety. The highest content of crude oil in fruit is in Favarol variety with 21.93% in fresh matter and 49.57% in dry matter. Yields of varieties range from 3.25 kg to 23.55 kg per tree.
