The following has been established by studying the increase and accumulation of nitrogen in the roots and leaves of some varieties of carrots; Slow growth at the beginning of the vegetation period and quite intensive growth after the formation of 7-8 leaves until technological maturity is reached, is characteristic of the carrots; Nitrogen fertilization has a significant effect on the dynamics of the increase in the weight and number of the leaves; The dynamics of the root weight is characterized by slower growth until 7-8 leaves have formed and then intense growth until technological maturity is reached; Nitrogen fertilization had a smaller effect on the dynamics of root growth; Nitrogen content in roots and leaves decreases during the vegetation period and it is highest at the beginning and lowest when technological maturity is reached. At the beginning of the vegetation period, carrots have the greatest need for nitrogen.
