The duration of the observed phenological stages of corn depended on the temperature and was most frequently reduced linearly as the temperature increased. The dependency between the duration of a particular phenological stage and the temperature is larger in those stages in which the temperature varied the most. In the maturing stage there is also an important dependency between the duration of this stage and the temperature, but only when the temperatures are higher than the biological minimum. The differences between tested hybrids were the smallest in the stages sowing-emergence and slow growth, but these differences later become greater.
