Mineral nitrogen in alluvial soil in Yugoslavia
1987
Brkovic, M. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Pristina (Yugoslavia))
After a three-year research, it was established that alluvial soils in Kosovo (Yugoslavia) contain relatively adequate quantities of mineral nitrogen at a depth of 40 cm. The addition of nitrogen fertilizer had a positive effect on the content of mineral nitrogen in the soil, as well as on the increase of the yield. The lowest quantities of mineral nitrogen were found on the control (unfertilized) variant. The added nitrogen fertilizers had a significant effect on the content of mineral nitrogen depending on the depth of the profile. The experiment was performed using the NSSC-418 F hybrid maize.
