1991
Ismail, M.
Both environmentalists and economists should be interested in the problem of strategy of economic development of natural resources. Consequently one must attempt to see in proper manner whether forests are really worth anything both for environmental and economic development. It is true that forest has a stimulating effect if it is managed properly. It is known that the history of civilization has been strongly affected by forest management practices which in turn has an effect on soil stabilization and water runoff management. It is known that forests have a variety of effects on other resources. They affect climate, soil and variability of water availability for other resources, such as agriculture. Trees have a moderating effect on climate. It is important to make suitable design for proper distribution pattern of different types of plants and forests on the basis of physical climatic factor.
