Solaiman, A.R.M. | Sattar, M.A. | Chanda, M.M.
The influence of Rhizobium inoculant, urea nitrogen and molybdenum on nodulation and dry matter production of two varieties of lentil, L-5 and Mymensingh local was studied. Inoculation of Rhizobium increased total and effective nodules as well as dry weight of nodules and plant tops compared to uninoculated control. The performance of urea nitrogen was not as good as Rhizobium inoculant in most cases. The effect of molybdenum (2 kg Mo ha(1)) when applied with Rhizobium inoculant was found stimulating in respect of nodulation and dry matter production of the crop. Both the varieties performed similarly in producing nodule and dry weight of plant tops
