For massive plantation programmes emphasis has been given to find out various physical/biochemical indices of seed maturity for the selection of high quality seeds of different species. Several steps for the production of high quality seeds have been suggested and the integrated effects of all these steps for the revolutionary improvements in forest productivity have been visualized.
