Body parameters and weight of pigs of paternal synthetic population

Evaluation was made of 40 boars and 57 sows of paternal synthetic population at an age of two to three years and of 76 barrows and 72 gilts at an age of six to seven months. The boars of paternal synthetic population have the value of the index of body frame x = 87,39 (s = 2,83), sows x = 81,11 (s = 2,95), barrows x = 63,26 (s = 2,87) and gilts x = 62,03 (s = 3,71). Withers height and body length (in the same order of sex and age) were: x = 91,90 cm (s = 3,70), x = 83,90 cm (s = 4,38), x = 65,43cm (s = 2,61), x = 65,39 cm (s = 3,75); x = 169,65 cm (s = 5,99), x = 156,12 cm (s = 7,70), x = 121,09 cm (s = 6,24), x = 120,06 cm (s = 5,26).
