One day old ducklings of the PKR type were fattened while divided into three groups. In the first group there were 5 birds per square meter, in the second 7, and in the third 9 birds per sq m. The live weight required by the CS standard (CSN 46 6415) was reached in all groups. Two growth intensity peaks in all groups were recorded in the 35th and 47th day of age. The carcass weight has increased in both, absolute and relative values, and was significantly dependend on the age and bird numbers. Breast percentage of carcass significantly increased with age and groups in sequence 1, 2, 3. Thigh percentage had in the absolute values an increasing trend but in the relative expression a decreasing tendency. Back and wing percentage had a slightly decreasing course. With age the slaughter yield increased, group differences were not significant.
