The insecticidal activity of cis permethrin, trans permethrin, cis cypermethrin, trans cypermethrin. A alpha fenvalerate and isomer mixture of fenvalerate were evaluated against the 4th instar larvae of Culex pipiens, the adults of Musca domestica and the 4th instar larvae of Spodoptera littoralis. The cis isomer of either permethrin or cypermethrin showed higher toxicity than the corresponding trans isomer of such compounds against the mosquito, house fly and Egyptian cotton leafworm. The A alpha isomer of fenvalerate was more toxic than the technical form which consists of mixture of insecticide isomers against the tested insects.
