[Effect of nutritional and hormonal treatments on the reproductive performance of Arabi ewe lambs]
1988
Al-Hellou, M.F.A.
48 ewe lambs, aged 5-8 months were divided to two nutritional groups (first group fed on alfalfa while the second fed on grasses). After 100 days of feeding, the two groups were subdivided into two sub-groups (A and B). The ewe lambs in sub-group A were treated with hormones. Ewe lambs were weighed at the beginning of the study till mating at weekly intervals, and also the mating behaviour of these ewes was studied. The ewes were weighed before and after birth, weights of their lambs, weights of placenta, number of cotyledons were counted and ewes behaviour characteristics at birth were also studied, and all traits of the study were analysed and correlations coefficient were calculated
