Since old days Eurygaster integriceps Put. has been one of the main pests of wheat and barley in Fars province. The massive attack of this pest during the recent years has increased tremendously and its distribution is also widespread. It has one generation per year and its life is restricted only to mountain and fields. During the rainy years when the conditions are favourable for grasses to grow on mountains and foothills some of them stay in these areas and continue their field life on these grasses. It is certain that sunn pest migrates in the field and mountain. However, they move from northern to southern slopes in the fall, but also some of them hibernate on the northern slopes during the winter. The pest flight from the mountain to the field depends on climatic factors and is different throughout the province. In Darab area the migration starts nearly on 20th February, whereas in Marvdasht it starts nearly 20th March. The length of the complete life cycle of the new generation which includes egg and five times pupa is about 50 to 60 days. At present the activity of the sunn pest eggs parasite (Trissolcus sp.) does not exceed 5%, therefore to control this pest we have to use chemical measures. In order to get the best results it is better to control pupa at the 2nd age. The peak of 2nd age pupa accumulation in Darab is about last week in April, but in Marvdasht it is about 20th of May
