After the preliminary studies only chlorocholin chloride (CCC) gave promising responses. The experiments with CCC in the following years in concentration of 5-25 mg/plant did not confirm its favourable responses. The seed content in tomato fruits was similar or lower than that of control plants. The fruit yield decreased and the fruit size diminished. The great interaction of the CCC responses with the weather conditions was also observed
