Investigations on occurrence and distribution of chlorophylls in triticale and its initial forms

Hexaploidal CR 275 Triticale, tetraploidal Tetra-Lubelskie rye and hexaploidal Grana Wheat were tested. Flag and subflag leaves and stalk with ear were investigated at three growth stages: of ear formation, flowering and milk ripeness. The a and b chlorophyll content was determined in particular organs. Triticale distinguishes itself with higher content than in rye and similar to wheat ability of accumulation to chlorophylls in flag leaves as well as with higher content than in wheat and similar to rye ability of accumulation of these pigments in stalks
