Two sire strain of turkey (J-11 and J-22) were selected for five or six generations for increase of body weight at the age of 16 weeks and for high egg fertilization rate. In female strains the improved traits they are body weight, reproductive traits and egg production. For all productive traits the coefficient of heritabilities were calculated and the effect of body weight of dams and sires on productivity of their progeny were estimated. The highest breeding gain per one generation was obtained for body weight at the age of 16 weeks, in the strain J-22, and percentage of meat in J-11 and J-22
