Fruit from a high-density orchard, particularly those on M 26 contained more N, P, and K but less Ca than those from a low density planting. Apples from moderate density orchard from trees on M 7 rootstock were very rich in Ca. Higher level of fertilizers affected higher NPK content, particularly nitrogen
