On many small farms in Suriname, farmers own a two-wheel Japanese tractor. These tractors are normally equipped with a rotary tiller. To mechanize the peanut cultivation and to make the two-wheel tractor more profitable the following implements were designed, constructed and tested: a two-wheel toolbar on which the driver's seat has been mounted, on the toolbar devices for weeding, ridging and sowing can be mounted; a simple peanut threshing machine driven by the engine of the tractor; and a hand driven peanut husking machine.
