Effect of daminozide on fruit development and fruit quality of peach Prunus persica (L.) batsch cv. earligrande
1986
Chalida Trichan
Daminozide at 5,000 and 10,000 ppm. did not have any effect on fruit weight, soluble solids, titratable acidity and total non-structural carbohydrates, while daminozide at 10,000 ppm. caused the lowest soluble solids, reducing sugars and total non-structural carbohydrate contents in the fruits. Daminozide at 5,000 ppm. tended to produce the highest fruit firmness, reducing sugars total non-structural carbohydrates and soluble solids/titratable acidity ratio but tended to produce the lowest fruit weight and titratable acidity. The untreated fruit had the highest fruit weight, soluble solids, titratable acidity but had the lowest fruit firmness and soluble solids/titratable acidity ratio.
