In an experiment which lasted 5 months young coho salmon were used having an average weight of 1.9 g. that is 2.0 g. The young were placed in concrete pools with a stock density of 5 kg of body weight. In the experiment food from a foreign manufacturer was used sizes 1.0-1.5; 1.5-1.75; and 2.2 mm while the Yugoslav manufacturerers sizes were 1.0-1.3; 1.3-1.7; 1.7-2.0 and 2.0-2.2 mm. The results obtained show that differences exist in the growth of young coho salmon, and that these differences are a result of the chemical content and lower caloric values of the domestic food manufacturer for young fish.
