Sensitivity of ovaries and oocytes in gold fish were examined after the spawning period. Different doses of LHRH, HCG, Oestradiol dipropionate (Oe) and HCG+Oe were administered to female goldfish. After spawning, oogonies and younger oocytes, stage 1-4 and seldom stage 5 ones, were observed in the ovaries of the control group. The following characteristics were observed in the ovaries of the treated goldfish: a) stage 6 and stage 7 oocytes dominated after the third dose of LHRH (0.01 mg); b) the number and size of stage 5 oocytes increased while stage 6 and 7 ones were presented after the third dose of HCG (50IU); c) the increased oogonies proliferation and number of stage 5 oocytes were observed after the first dose of Oe (0.1 mg) while stage 6 and 7 oocytes dominated after its third dose; d) the number and size of stage 5 oocytes increased after the third dose of HCG+Oe.
