Strontium-90 in the soil and the hay in the zone of the eastern region of the SR of Macedonia [Yugoslavia]

The paper contains the researches carried out on the activity of Sr-90 in the soil of uncultivated surfaces of different depth, such as 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, and 20-30 cm. Samples of meadow hay from different places in the east Macedonia (Yugoslavia) were taken into consideration. The obtained results of Sr-90 in the soil showed increased activity in autumn, i.e. in the layer of 0-10 cm for 2.10, in the layer of 0-10 cm for 2.10, in the layer of 10-20 cm for 1.44 and in the layer of 20-30 cm for 1.60 times (tbl.1). The values of Sr-90 in the hay are higher in spring i.e. 1.08 times in relation to the autumm period (tbl.2).
