Effect of some growth regulators on growth, yield and chemical composition of potato [in Bangladesh]

Plants treated with NAA increased weight of haulm, LAI, chlorophyll content of leaf, yield per plant and both total sugar and starch content of the tuber. Plants receive 150 ppm IBA gave better and beneficial results than the plants received 300 ppm IBA. Cycocel treatment although had some reduction effects but increased LAI, chlorophyll content of leaf, no. of tuber, total sugar, starch and finally yield per plant. Chemical 2,4-D as a whole had negative effects with the decrease of yield per plant, total sugar and starch content of tuber.
